bmr0724 asked:

When I want opinion I read the editorials and opinion sections in all media variations. I would like to see reporting as factual instead of bias in either direction. I recently find it difficult to believe in what media presents.

What can the public viewing audiences do to change the bias direction the media is heading into?

Is it that the media’s responsibility is to inform and educate with balance, equity and decorum?
Does freedom of the Press mean the unsavory use of personal prejudice to taint the information in order to promote an egocentric agenda?
Is it a wanton abuse of privileges and an act of criminality, for bigoted individuals to use the media as a weapon to contravene the inalienable rights of another?

Should the media be used as a weapon of oppression and persecution against Political, Religious, Financial, Ethnic, Intellectual and Social Opponents?

John M asked:

While a few may debate whether the media has an agenda, it is clear from multiple news sources that there is an overwhelming bias against anything conservative. For example, consider the media’s stance on abortion, contraception, the Republican Party, the war in Iraq, homosexuality, or religion. On each of these issues, the media is overwhelmingly on the left. This would seem to be a relatively recent phenomenon, and I am curious as to why this is the case.

Royal Tenenbaum asked:

Obviously, FOX News is as conservative as it gets. “We report, you decide” is laughable even though I tend to accept that it’s impossible for media sources to be completely down the middle.

We hear a lot about the “liberal media”, though, with the NY Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, etc. I want to know which newspapers or other sources there are that are considered “conservative”. I also find it interesting that it seems like MSNBC has passed CNN for being more liberal.

Rome asked:

I believe the media is the number one influencial entity in the mind of the American people. Therefore, based on this comment I can see how effective the media is. (This is interesting because Obama is both black and white. His mother is white, his grandparents ect. but if the media portrays (based on the fact that his skin is dark).he is ****** against whites by association , then he is gulity by association. This shows the level of control the media has on the mind of people.
